AUSTRALAB - BAL - CINEMART

3 PUERTOS Cine is born from an alliance between FICValdivia’s AustraLAB, the Buenos Aires Lab (BAL) organized by the City’s Ministry of Culture in the framework of BAFICI (Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival), and the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s CineMart, with the aim of creating a working environment in the form of a two-part workshop to accompany the development of about 10 to 12 Latin American projects. The lab is meant to offer training, counseling and tutorship to later give the projects the opportunity for international screening.

This is a project lab that will be held in two sessions: the first one taking place in April 2014, during the [16] BAFICI; the second one in October, in the framework of the AUSTRALAB 2014. Both sessions will be mainly focused on working on the creative, aesthetic and narrative aspects of the projects. The second part, in Valdivia, will also cover aspects related to production and market.

The two workshops will feature film industry professionals chosen to meet the needs of the participating projects.

Out of the projects selected to participate in these two sessions, a jury representing the three organizing institutions will choose four works to ultimately take part in the prestigious CineMart of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.

HOW TO APPLY

Application to 3 PUERTOS Cine has two stages:

1. Stage 1:Registration (until Monday, December 16, 2013)

2. Stage 2: Pre-selection

   In order to make a final selection of participants, some candidates will be invited to submit a more complete dossier to evaluate their projects in depth. In the case of shortlisted projects, candidates will have to submit the complete dossier within a week.
