Roberto Rossellini

Biography
Born in Rome, Italy, in 1906 and passed away in 1977. Considered one of the most important directors of Italian neorealist cinema, his first documentary was Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune (1937). Some of his films are The White Ship (1942), Rome, Open City (1945), L’amore (1948) and Agostino d’Ippona (1972), screened at Bafici ’06.
