Juan Carlos Valdivia

Biography

He was born in La Paz, Bolivia and studied film at the Columbia College in Chicago. His first film is Jonás y la ballena rosada (1996), which won the First Film Award at Cartagena and Best Cinematography at the Havana Film Festival. He was nominated for the Goya to Best Hispanic Foreign Film for American Visa (2005).
