Long Ge is a formerly cocky gangster from Guangzhou, who has descended into heroin addiction and poverty. Zhou Hao spent three years filming him, digging very deeply into the time and lives of Long Ge, his girlfriend, and their junkie community. At times the filmmaker seems invisible, at other times he intervenes, challenges, and maybe even, to a certain extent, enables their addictions.
