Synopsis

David Sieveking, director and main character of this documentary, is a young filmmaker attracted by the teachings of the guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the same one who advised The Beatles and gathered followers in Hollywood, like Mia Farrow and…Clint Eastwood (there goes a badass!). Nowadays transcendental meditation is practiced by approximately six million people in the world. Another one of its advocates is David Lynch, who recently made one of his rare press appearances to promote his own book on the subject. Sieveking dives into the world of transcendental meditation with his hand held camera, in search for personal enlightenment. He soon discovers a series of contradictions within the movement, turned now into a large company. Amongst the unwanted effects of his research, there’s one that would embarrass any filmmaker: Lynch himself threatened to sue him.
