Synopsis

This movie could have also been called “Waiting for Godard”, just like the main character’s favorite bar. The reference is not casual: Matteo (Lorenzo Balducci) is a young man in his twenties who is at that point in life where you can go in any direction but you can’t manage to decide which one. Depending on the situation, the way out from that is either taking the risk, boldly facing one’s mistakes with nobility (Godardism, avant-garde); or waiting until some external force decides for him (conformist option, “lamb”). Both things happen to Matteo, and Aronadio describes both options as being parallel and exclusive. One involves Matteo accidentally crashing against a car driven by undercover policemen, who unleash their rage upon him and take him to the police station. Rage consumes Matteo and guides his future. In the other one, he avoids the crash and carries on living a normal life… until he runs into a job opportunity he would have not chosen normally.
