Synopsis

Original Title: Deutsche Dienststelle

Amidst hundreds of files, stamps, and offices, the people working in the German Agency WASS has the job of notifying the families of the many Wehrmacht casualties. Created by National-Socialists (after dissolving the previous ones), these armed forces were responsible during WWII of carrying out numerous battles and war crimes, apart from being accomplices of the Holocaust in several European countries. History resounds in the hallways of this Berlin office where five hundred and fifty people work (80% of them are women) handling papers (and different kinds of objects from that time), and establishing interest and disturbing relationships with the files that surround them. Once again, the aftereffects of war become visible in the old faces from a different historic context yet still marked by other wars.
