Synopsis

In England, playwright Sarah Kane suffers from the same things she has written about in her plays: the nature of pain, love, violence of the bodies, and loneliness. After 28 years of dealing with the intensity of being someone who feels deeply and analyzes the world around her, she tries to commit suicide by taking pills. When she doesn’t succeed, she hangs herself with her shoelaces in the clinic’s bathroom: the same thing that once helped her keep her feet off the ground was what finally elevated her and freed her from the earthly sufferings. Back in Argentina, a theater group tries to express those emotions by performing one of her plays. The chosen space is surrounded by debris and piles of junk, which now become works of art. What was once discarded is now reutilized; the negative feelings the writer had are now valuable pieces that modify the world vision in another hemisphere. Combining essays and discussion, a voice that emulating the writer’s shares her reflections and thoughts; in the meantime, the theatrical documentary is done in a cinematographic way.
