Mahamat-Saleh Haroun

He was born in Abéché, Chad, in 1960, and moved to France in 1982. He studied Film in Paris and Journalism in Bordeaux. He directed, among others, the short films Maral Tanié (1994) and Expectations (2008), as well as the documentary Kalala (2005) and the features Bye Bye Africa (1999), Abouna (2002) and Daratt (2006; Special Jury Prize in Venice).
