Lee Chang-dong

Born in Daegu, South Korea in 1954, he majored in Korean Literature at the Kyunpook National University in that city. He wrote novels, scripts, and plays before directing the features Green Fish (1997), Peppermint Candy (1999; Bafici ‘01), Oasis (2002; Bafici ‘03) and Secret Sunshine (2007).
