Synopsis
In 1991, the NGO Amnesty International commissioned 30 French filmmakers to make 30 short films that would form a collective film to denounce specific cases of human rights violations, persecutions, and political crimes. With their usual subtle and surly humor, Godard and Miéville decided to film André Rousselet, the powerful director of Canal+, as he expressed his movingly scripted consternation for the situation of Indonesian prisoner Thomas Wainggai while taking care of his office activities. A great moment features Godard making Rousselet kneel in front of a TV set, and painting an act of true cinematographic justice.
