Synopsis
The Children National Board is a Buenos Aires institute that since 1982 works to protect defenseless kids. It’s also the place where the world’s first ever symphonic orchestra composed solely by blind kids started to be formed in 1939. For decades, eleven kids between 11 and 14 years-old gave their lives to the discipline of music, proving the world and themselves what they were capable of achieving. Now, Basilio, the last survivor of that band, is about to leave the place. From the way they make and read the scores in Braille to the way they play their instruments –without forgetting about the stories hiding behind every room of the famous Board (where the Evita Museum is today)– The Last Man finds a hidden world with an illustrative clarity that is superseded only by its fascinating musical and emotional content.
