AIRA’S NOVEL
This Thursday at 6.00 pm at the Meeting Point, Festival will be presented, the novel by cult writer César Aira, which he conceived last year in the spare time he had between screenings as a member of the Official Jury of the BAFICI. Together with the prestigious author, the Festival’s Artistic Director Sergio Wolf will also be at the presentation. Aira, native of Coronel Pringles—a town in the south of the Buenos Aires Province—has a particular public profile and a personal style that has turned him, with the years and the books, into an object of devotion among his readers.
Titles such as La liebre, Cómo me hice monja, Los fantasmas, and El congreso de literatura among others, part of a rich and copious collection of works, made Aira one of the most important Argentine writers of the second half of the 20th century. Now, within his prolific literary production, BAFICI occupies a privileged position: a milestone for this Festival.
