Fabien Gaillard

Born in 1977 in France, he studied Film at the University of Paris 8, where he made the short film Boloko (2004). Later, he moved to Shanghai, China, where he worked as a photographer and directed the documentaries Wo ai no (2005) and Dr. Wang (2008; co-directed with Gaëtan Hachez). Lao wai is his first feature film.
