Sofie Benoot

Born in Bruges, Belgium, in 1985, she studied Documentary Filmmaking at Sint-Lukas University College of Arts and Design in Brussels. Her graduation medium-length film, Fronterismo (2007), was screened and awarded at several international festivals. Blue Meridian, her first feature film, won the first award among 13 projects at 2009 FID Marseille’s FIDlab.
