Asghar Farhadi

Born in Isfahan, Iran, in 1972, he studied Film at Tehran’s University and worked in theatre, radio and TV. He directed the short films Janali (1988), The World of Walls (1990), The Eyes (1992) and The Wire (1998), among others, and the features Dancing in the Dust (2003), Beautiful City (2004), Chaharshanbe-soori (2006) and About Elly (2009; winner of the Silver Bear at Berlin).
