James Benning

Born in 1942 in Milwaukee, US, he studied Mathematics and Film, and ever since Did You Ever Hear That Cricket Sound? (1971), he has directed some 40 films. The focus on his work held by Bafici ’09 included One Way Boogie Woogie / 27 Years Later (2004), Casting a Glance and RR (both 2007). At Bafici ’10, Grand Opera (1979), the short film Fire and Rain and the feature Ruhr (both 2009) were screened.
