Ruth Beckermann

Born in Vienna, Austria, in 1952, and graduated at the local university. She also studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York and worked as a journalist in Zurich. She has written several books on Jewish and European History, and directed the documentaries Paper Bridge (1987), Towards Jerusalem (1990), East of War (1996) and Zorro’s Bar Mitzvah (2005; Bafici ‘07), among others.
