Synopsis
Headshots explores and laughs about the lives, ticks, and common places of a small Berlin scene made of a generation of thirty-some advertising creatives: artists, professionals, shallow image and content producers who seem to live their lives in an existential limbo. Marianne, a fashion photographer, clumsily swings between her more stable love partner –which is basically sustained by secret personal interests–, the relationship with her lover –basically sustained by her taste for the forbidden–, and her artistic/professional activity, carried on with a frivolousness that an act of negligence will turn into tragedy. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s secretly haunted by her impossible expectations of satisfying her severe father. A crack that might be predictable but still has unsuspected reach starts to appear all through this fragile world of concealments, self-destruction and faded futures: the news of a pregnancy.
