Bio
He directed the films Montoneros, una historia (1995), Macedonio Fernández (1995), Prohibido (1997), La televisión y yo (2003), Fotografías (2007) and El país del diablo (2008). He also created the installation piece La televisión y yo (2010) and a performance, Hachazos (2010). He was the founder and first director of the Bafici, in 1999. Since 2002, he has directed the Princeton Documentary Festival at Princeton University, in the United States, where he is a visiting profesor. Retrospectives of his work have been held at the Filmoteca Española of Madrid, the Filmoteca de Cataluña of Barcelona, the Centro Cultural Rojas of the Universidad de Buenos Aires the Festival of Lima. His essays have been published in various books in Argentina and abroad.
