Paz Encina

Born in 1971 in Asunción del Paraguay, she graduated from Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires. She directed the short films La siesta (1997), Los encantos de Jazmín (1998), Hamaca paraguaya and Supe que estabas triste (both in 2000), as well as the feature film Paraguayan Hammock (2006), winner of the Fipresci award in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard.
