
Werner Herzog

He was born in Munich, Germany, in 1942. His first film is Herakles (1962). He wrote prose, directed operas, and made dozens of shorts and features, both fiction and documentaries. Some of them are Fata Morgana (1970), Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972), Nosferatu (1978), Fitzcarraldo (1982), Lessons of Darkness (1992), The Wild Blue Yonder (2005; Bafici ‘06), and (Bafici ‘11).
