Djamila Sahraoui

Born in Algeria in 1950, she studied literature in her country before moving to France in 1975. There, she graduated in film direction from the IDHEC in Paris. She directed the shorts Houria (1990) and Prénom Marianne (1992), and the documentaries La Moitié du ciel d’Allah (1995) and Algérie, la vie toujours (2001).
