Rithy Panh

He was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, en 1964. After fleeing to Thailand, he moved to Paris where he studied at the Institute de Hautes Etudes Cinematographiques. His first documentaries include Bophana, a Cambodian Tragedy (1996) and S-21: The Khmer Rouge Killing Machine (2002; awarded at the Human Rights competition in Bafici ‘04).
