Synopsis

Five roamers wander through the city and a shanty town in the outskirts of an almost unrecognizable Buenos Aires that appears nocturnal, ferocious, concrete, and lyrical. There’s a love-trio who is fascinated with a little pig, a patient from a mental hospital who thinks he has found his ideal woman, and an alcoholic, self-destructing doctor specialized in psychiatrics. With unleashed dramatic power, Luis Ortega returns to his passion for cinema, which finds poetry in the mud, the streets, the margins, in an unknown and savage everyday life that is yet always kind. Like in Black Box, in Roamers everything that questions the sad normality of social life through its deform elements acts as the field where Ortega finds his loved ones, who are trying to put up with this world through escape paths like alcohol, the gospels, drugs, or madness. A powerful film, one of those that stay on. Or better said, one of those films that stay inside the spectator.
