Synopsis
Lotte is a small dog with an uncle named Klaus, and she finds a couple of strangers trying to steal something: a rock. But this rock actually holds a complicated mechanism and there are two more. The idea is to find them, solve the mystery, and avoid the cat that’s also looking for them –and also meeting bunnies with three ears, of course. The film takes place in a world of light colors, big eyes, and a kind humor that doesn’t lack adventure. By the way, it’s a traditional animated film that takes the form of an endearing children’s story without ever underestimating the spectator’s intelligence. That is, it’s a fun world that reminds us how wonderful and imperfect ours is, through its humor and absurdity. Beyond the searching, the glitter, and the apparently simple drawings and events, the most sophisticated poetry lies on this film. When it ends, we know we’re going to miss Lotte a lot, and that we’ll be waiting for more of her adventures.
