Bio

He was born in 1970 in Campinas, Brazil, and lives in Salvador de Bahía since 1982. For over a decade, he worked as editor and film critic for Coisa de Cinema, and since 2005 he’s a contributor for newspaper A Tarde. He programmed the film theater Walter da Silveira and currently coordinates the Espaço Unibanco de Cinema. He’s also the founder and production chief of the Coisa de Cinema International Panorama Festival. Together with Marília Hughes, he co-directed the shorts O guarani (2008), Nego fugido (2009), Carreto (2010) and Sala de milagres (2011).
