Whit Stillman

Born in 1952 in Washington, US, he worked as a journalist for outlets such as The Village Voice, The Guardian and Vogue. He wrote, produced, and directed the films Metropolitan (1990; nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay), Barcelona (1994) and The Last Days of Disco (1998), screened at Bafici ‘99. That same year he was a member of the International Competition jury.
