He was born in Paris, France, in 1961. He worked as an illustrator and later as an editor, before he started to make his own short films. He teaches Filmmaking and Scriptwriting at La Fémis in Paris. He directed the medium length film Troubles ou la journée d’une femme ordinaire (1994) and the feature films Select Hotel (1996), Zonzon (1998), 1999 Madeleine (1999) and L’Invité (2007), among others.
