Synopsis
After a shock of Los Peyotes’ primary garage energy, Álvaro Cifuentes’ camera asks Nekro: why do you like Los Peyotes? The answer: “I can relate to living wild things”. A surgical precision to define the caveman-like, anesthetist swagger of Los Peyotes, who christen themselves –with benzene, the same one a band member begs another not to bring to a show– “the people’s prostitutes” (they also call themselves “losers”, and, most beautifully “that toy you find in the dirt beneath your coach and you didn’t know you still had”). In My Nothing, Hechomierda, Bam Bam, Bruno, and Peyote (such are Los Peyotes’ noms de guerre) are featured off-stage talking about the importance of cleaning your asshole as well as giving a real garage lesson –bring a notepad to write down “the bands that will go secretly into history”, as the tagline reads. They are brutally sincere about their DNA and animalistic character (in every sense of the word). And inside of it, well that’s where the lascivious, Godzillesque, guttural, and crude Peyotes live.
