2013 BAL Awards
The 15th Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI) informs the awards that will be granted in the 10th edition of the Buenos Aires Lab (BAL).
This year’s jury members are Agustina Chiarino, Luciano Monteagudo and Marco Müller.
AWARDS GRANTED BY THE JURY
CINECOLOR AWARD
Cinecolor grants a prize to a project in the Work in Progress (WIP) consisting of 3 (three) full-day conform sessions, 5 (five) full-day color correction sessions, 3 (three) full-day visual effects sessions – including editor, colorist and art director – and the digitization for DCP, DCP creation of the feature film with 10 keys.
ESTUDIO ÑANDÚ AWARD
Estudio Ñandú grants a prize consisting of a maximum of 10 (ten) 8-hour sessions of sound post-production at its facilities, including the use of both studios and all necessary equipment for mutually agreed tasks, with the support of 1 (one) qualified sound operator for editing, mixing or recording.
LAHAYE AWARD
Lahaye grants a prize - valid for one year - consisting of:
- Online conforming
- Color Correction at Scratch (up to 10 six-hour sessions; staff NOT included)
TAURO DIGITAL AWARD
Tauro Digital grants a prize consisting of 96 hours of post-production distributed in the following way:
- 80 hours of sound editing
- 16 hours of sound mixing
SINSISTEMA AWARD
Sinsistema grants a prize consisting of post-production services including Online Conform, 10 (ten) full-day Color Correction sessions and DCP Master Encoding to a feature film of up to 120 minutes.
AWARDS & INVITATIONS TO BAL PARTICIPANTS
BAL AWARD IN CANNES
Some of the WIP’s feature film projects will be invited to participate in the Marché du Film-Festival in Cannes, with an exclusive screening at the Palais des Festivals.
ARTE AWARD
ARTE grants the “International Relations ARTE Prize”, consisting of €6000, to a BAL feature film project.
Rémi Burah will grant the ARTE 2013 Award
He is Executive Deputy Director of ARTE France Cinema and has participated in almost 300 films made by the most important French and international filmmakers. Since 2004, he has been Executive Director of ARTE/Cofinova, a cinema investment fund created by ARTE that uses the Sofica tax system.

CPH:DOX invites a participant to take part in the next edition of the DOX:LAB.
FIDMARSEILLE FIDLAB AWARD
One project will be invited to participate in the next edition of the FIDLab.
