Wang Bing

He was born in Xi’an, China, in 1967. He studied photography and cinematography at the Beijing Film Academy. He debuted as a director with the 9-hour documentary West of the Tracks (2003), and later directed Fengming, a Chinese Memoir (2007; Bafici ‘08) and Crude Oil (2008), among others.
