The Earth has received a distress signal from the planet TEM 4. The commander of the rescue mission, Akala, lands her spaceship Cynro on TEM 4, but there is no sign of any emergency. The ruler of the planet instead gives their guests a great feast, the contents of which are drugged. He is then able to manipulate them. The navigator, Suko, who remained on board during the feast, notices this manipulation and will attempt to uncover the secrets of the planet.
