MARLANGO AND FITO PAEZ CLOSED THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT

MARLANGO Y FITO PAEZ CERRARON LA NOCHE DEL MIERCOLES

One hour of show was enough for Marlango to win a standing ovation of the crowded that attended their performance. It didn’t matter the coldness, neither the fact that it was a Wednesday night: the coats and the songs could get all the urban tribes together. Some rasta, girls with indie heart, kids, families, foreign people… all of them enjoyed the repertoire by Marlango, with the star appearance of Fito Paez. Featuring him, they played one of his classic songs: ‘Petalo de sal’.

The voices of Fito and Leonor Watling (picture) merged in the same way it did in the live record by Fito Paez “No sé si es Baires o Madrid”, released in 2008. The Argentine also played keyboards in “You won’t have me”, which is a track included in the last Iberian’s record: “Life in the tree house”. From that same album, they also played “Take me” and “The answer”. They didn’t forget to sing some of the older songs too, such as “Hold me tight” or “Madness”.

During the short intermission, between the Marlango show and the Les Mentettes Orchestra’s – that was the opening concert -, the audience visited the facilities of Centro Cultural Recoleta. Right there, the visitors could enjoy the magazine area – where there are various numbers of the best magazines related with young culture -; the Fotorragia exhibition by Martin Bonetto; and the permanent activities in the discipline Street Art. Festival Emergente continues today, with the concert by Anita Pallemberg, at the terrace at 5PM.
