FIBA pays tribute to the artist that truly changed the way of creating and making theatre. There will be about 80 stage designs produced between 1944 and 1981 on display thanks to the thorough work of Cora Roca, who has gathered all this information for her book about Benavente, whose curator is Pelusa Bortwick. The exhibition is completed with Benavente’s essays on his own discipline, theatre and creation.

This photography show proposes a journey through the works of alternative porteño theatre of the 90’s. What will be shown are not only the “new scenic trends” but also the theatrical approaches born in the middle of the 80s, which continued to be in force during the 90s. The available photographic material comprises scene settings, images of the makers during rehearsal, dressing rooms, make-up, costume rehearsal, lighting, etc.
