Buenos Aires / Argentina: Falsa escuadra

ShowsCiudad Cultural Konex

The Company Movimiento Armario creates a strong visual and musical performance in which the artists plays with the movements of the body and its inter-relation with various objects to generate a personal world, where surrealist poetry and humour prevail. In that sense the circus technique, through its predominantly physical language, is integrated with the theatre interpretation in a dynamic and fun performance with characters that express themselves through gestures and actions.

The mythical slap Libertad Lamarque would have given to Eva Duarte de Perón, is the basis for the argument of this story about a seamstress that once was visited by these two women who wanted to buy her the same dress. This dilemma will be the starting point to put on display the cultural universe of those years which are accuratelly represented through the repertoire of this Argentine actress and singer who exiled herself in Mexico for being against the peronist regime.

Poznan / Polonia: Los expedientes / Teczki

ShowsEl Portón de Sánchez

This is a “documentary play” where the artists use the secret files that the Communist government kept between 1975 and 1983, detailing information about themselves , their contacts and friends. This information is linked to some personal mails that the artists themselves wrote at that time. There are moments of a very painful confessional atmosphere. Los expedientes, which presents extremely painful testimonials, puts on stage a complex aesthetic and political universe where we are confronted with a harsh truth of which we are all part of.

Are you really Lost? is a performance where bodies and light, which has a leading role, combine music, poetry and movement, with a clear purpose of thinking about human being in relation to its existence , its fears and anxieties, caused by the contemporary world. The fact of having defined the title in English, which is taken from an album of a Chilean musician residing in Germany, definitely puts globalization in a very first place.

Buenos Aires / Argentina: Lote 77

ShowsTeatro del Abasto

Lote 77 is an interrogation about masculinity. What is it that makes a body, beyond its anatomy, define if it belongs to a man or not. Supporting the idea that this genre is essentially about performance, Mininno makes actors represent a sequence of scenes and countryside rituals that urban men can only think of as activities that only men can do.
