Once again, a female Hamlet though this time, it is a Hamlet who plays with the avant-garde until turning tragedy into a hilarious pop cocktail, musical included. Not much remembered outside his own country (where he is considered a cult director), Erksan was one of the first turkish film-makers in accusing the influence of modern european films.

Poznan / Polonia: Los expedientes / Teczki
ShowsEl Portón de SánchezThis is a “documentary play” where the artists use the secret files that the Communist government kept between 1975 and 1983, detailing information about themselves , their contacts and friends. This information is linked to some personal mails that the artists themselves wrote at that time. There are moments of a very painful confessional atmosphere. Los expedientes, which presents extremely painful testimonials, puts on stage a complex aesthetic and political universe where we are confronted with a harsh truth of which we are all part of.

México df/ México: Are you really lost?
ShowsTeatro San Martín - Sala Martín CoronadoAre you really Lost? is a performance where bodies and light, which has a leading role, combine music, poetry and movement, with a clear purpose of thinking about human being in relation to its existence , its fears and anxieties, caused by the contemporary world. The fact of having defined the title in English, which is taken from an album of a Chilean musician residing in Germany, definitely puts globalization in a very first place.

Buenos Aires / Argentina: Alguien próximo
ShowsBeckett TeatroAlguien próximo is a sort of experiment on the relationship between the closeness and that which doesn´t belong to us, as an unavoidable duality existing when two bodies meet. This play presents the body as an interrogation, as the unprecedented: that thing we still don´t know anything about. This becomes more suggestive when another body appears, thus causing an inevitable difference just by being there . The closeness of the bodies will imply receiving the “other”, entering in contact with him, getting involved by feelings, taking care and accepting each other as acts of pure responsibility, openness, and devotion.
