Description

A mechanic´s guts burn due to a local dish called “locro” that he has devoured. Burning goes off inside him revealing a crossbreeding story which mixes nature and culture. While he endlessly tries to repair an uncooperative machine which short-circuits once an over again, he retells from his inside-out and plenty of humorous spasms, his guts fighting movements which are as repetitive as the Argentine history itself. The image he meticulously conveys of such a digestion gets transformed into someone else’s body radiography: the community- which can’t be hushed up. This solo performance is a powerful mixture combining memories, political events, national identity and idiosyncrasy; it is retold out of an unsupressable vomiting urgency; popular idioms and colloquial language build up body movements and musicality.

Marcelo Andrea is an actor who studied with Normal Briski and who has cinema, theater and television experience and revealed himself as a local drama promise in The Ardour (El ardor); this play authorship was nominated for the award Florencio Sánchez 2010 ; moreover, his performance obtained a nomination to the award Teatro del Mundo and received the award Florencio Sánchez a la Mejor actuación Unipersonal, Best Solo Performance.
