Description
It was created in the last edition of FIBA together with Instituto Nacional del Teatro (INT) to stimulate the production of essays around the performing arts. The Concurso Nacional de Ensayos Teatrales Alfredo de la Guardia is also a tribute to one of the most prominent figures of the Argentine theatrical critics. De la Guardia was born on 1899 in Spain, he nationalized argentine being young and developed his activity in our country, where he died in 1974. He was a disciple of Ricardo Rojas, he gave shape to an analysis style which closely relates the play with the author‘s life, and he worked as a critic for the newspaper La Nacion. His books about Ricardo Rojas, Federico García Lorca and Valle-Inclán obtained unanimous recognition and countless awards.In the second edition of the contest, a jury composed by Jorge Dubatti, Halima Tahan and Sandra Torlucci distinguished the following works:
First Award: “Teatro abierto 1981. Teatralogía e historia", (Open Theater 1981: Theater and History) from Irene Villagra (CABA).
Second Award: "La curvatura del espacio dramático. Aproximaciones a una topología teatral", (Dramatic Curvatura of Space. Approaches to a Theatrical Typology), from Eduardo del Estal (CABA).
Third Award: "Apuntes para una genealogía del espacio escénico en el teatro argentino. De la emancipación al drama de la segunda modernidad" (Notes for a Genealogy of the Stage in the Argentine Theater. From Emancipation to the Second Modern Age Drama), from Manuel Maccarini (Catamarca).
The winners will receive certificates of the award during a ceremony that will take place October 6th at 6 pm at Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas.
