PUPPETS, CLASS AND GERMAN THEATER

TÍTERES, CHARLA Y TEATRO ALEMÁN

Today, Friday, the Festival offers a variety of activities. Within the “Obras del interior” section, Kruvikas, by Misiones-based group of puppeteers Kossa Nostra (directed by Marcelo Reynoso), will be staged today at 4 p.m at Teatro del Pueblo, Av. Roque Sáenz Peña 943. At the same time, with free admission (subject to room capacity), German sociologist, composer and theater director Heiner Goebbels will give a master class at the Sala Cunil Cabanellas of Teatro San Martín. And, in the evening, Ich schau dir in die Augen, gesellschaftlicher Verblendungszusammenhang! (I look into your eyes, social context of deception!) will be performed by company Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz at 8 p.m. at Teatro Presidente Alvear. There are tickets available for the two plays: on sale on this website and at Teatro San Martín (Av. Corrientes 1530).

Everything has its own charm. The puppet show by Misiones-based troupe combines comedy sketches and musical numbers to portray the Argentine essence, by using a variety of resources (thimbles, gloves or rods, and mixed techniques). Goebbels, one of the Festival’s great international figures who made his debut last night, will present his multimedia piece Eraritjaritjaka, museo de las frases, at the Sala Martín Coronado of Teatro San Martin, tonight at 8.30 p.m. The staging of the German production will be an opportunity to look closer into the work of notable playwright René Polesch and to enjoy an extraordinary performance by actor Fabian Hinrichs.
