BUENOS AIRES THEATER HERE AND NOW

Monday offers a rich and varied menu of theatrical delights from the “Obras porteñas ya estrenadas” section, which includes a selection of sixteen plays from the current local theater scene. Andrea Garrote’s Niños del Limbo, performed by the company Perfecta Anarquía, will be staged at 4 p.m. at Beckett Teatro (Guardia Vieja 3556). Maruja Bustamante’s Paraná Porá – with Monina Bonelli, Valeria Lois and Sonia Álvarez on the harp – will go on stage at 5 p.m. at Teatro SHA (Sarmiento 2255). And Margarita Bail’s Hombre rebobinado, performed by company Nucleodanza Digital, will begin at 8 p.m. at Sala Loft (Jorge Newbery 3571 1° “7”).

As the curators of this section – Gustavo Lesgart, Alejandro Ullúa and Alina Mazaferro – have pointed out, the final selection came after “an arduous discussion and reflection process that, to our understanding, offers a well-balanced and coherent program. This includes self-managed projects that are solid in all its artistic areas.”
