Maruja Bustamante

Maruja Bustamante is a young actress, playwright and theater director who studied with Helena Tritek, Ricardo Bartís y Mauricio Kartun. In 2008 she became a local theater revelation with the local play Adela is Hunting Ducks (Adela está casando patos) which was nominated for the Florencio Sánchez and Teatro del Mundo awards and was awarded the María Guerrero and Trinidad Guevara to Best Author. Her playwright portrays a non urban reality and deals with issues present in provincial minds –especially in the Argentine Northern Region– thus evoking diverse national realities.
