THE TOLCACHIR RETROSPECTIVE CONTINUES
Tonight (Tuesday, 9 p.m.) will be the last performance of El viento en un violín, part of the retrospective that the Festival dedicates to Argentine actor, director and playwright Claudio Tolcachir. Apart from El viento…, the stage plays La omisión de la familia Coleman and Tercer Cuerpo were also featured in the program – all performances sold out the moment tickets went on presale. The three pieces, key to Tolcachir’s oeuvre, are staged at the cultural venue Timbre 4 in Almagro, the author’s former house turned into a small theater in 2001.
Tolcachir is one of the most prominent figures in Argentine contemporary theater: as an actor, he participated in several dozens of plays and was directed by great names of the local scene; and as a director of these three plays staged during the Festival, he earned awards, prestige and rave reviews wherever he went.
