Biography

Pianist and composer Alejandro Manzoni was born in Pergamino, Buenos Aires province. He studied piano with his father, Pedro A. Manzoni, and harmony and jazz improvisation with Edgardo Beilín. He got the special mention of the National Music Award (1995) granted by the Secretariat of Culture of Argentina and was distinguished at the Biennial for Young Art in the Popular Music and Instrumental Soloist categories. He has played with Bernardo Baraj Quinteto Acústico, Latinaje, Matinée and El Cuatriyo; served as a pianist and arranger for Ludmila Fernández and María Estela Monti; and backed Laura Albarracín and Cecilia Todd on tours across the country.
