Sergio Rivas presenta Pa que trabaje el grandote's biography

With a long history in tango and key players in its development, the double bass is the guest of honor of this show. Created by double bass player Sergio Rivas, it compiles tango solo pieces written for this instrument. A collection that includes the milonga by Argentino Galván that lends its title to the performance as well as Piazzolla and Troilo’s famous piece “Contrabajeando.” The concert will pay homage to pioneer Leopoldo Thompson and feature a series of instrument-related tangos. Sergio Rivas will be accompanied by Armando de la Vega (guitar), Quena Taborda (bandoneon) and guest musician Horacio Romo (bandoneon).
