Horacio Lavandera's biography

The great Argentine pianist Horacio Lavandera presents a concert featuring music by Astor Piazzolla, as specially requested by the Festival. Selected by Lavandera himself, the set list includes classics such as the series Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas and “Libertango,” in addition to variations on “Adiós Nonino.” A musical wonder ever since his debut, at 16, Lavandera has dazzled many greats like Stockhausen and Boulez with his art and is considered one of the most outstanding pianists of the last decade. A driving force of contemporary music, on the CD-DVD Compositores Argentinos he made a foray into the works of Ginastera, Williams, Gardel and Piazzolla himself.
