Aldo Saralegui's biography

Aldo Saralegui

A disciple of Horacio Salgán, an ex-member of Sexteto Tango and of Rodolfo Alchourron’s ensembles, Aldo Saralegui divides his time between his role as director of Amelita Baltar and the work for his own records. The pianist has released two albums, which he will perform at the Festival. One of them is Viajero zen del alma, which features solo piano pieces. The other, titled Lucero, combines classical music, waltz, jazz and even incidental music. Both releases received four Latin Grammy nominations. The musicians accompanying Saralegui are Andrea Escobar (flute and transverse flute), Hugo Migliore (flugelhorn), Demián González (drums), Inés Rojas (double bass), Celeste Wiede (clarinet) and Sebastián Barbui (electric bass).
