Julia Zenko canta a Piazzolla

Singer Julia Zenko has been rendering Astor Piazzolla’s music for fifteen years. Everything began in 1997, with the recording of a new version of María de Buenos Aires with Horacio Ferrer, Jairo, Gidon Kremer and the Kremerata Báltica, a project that led her to tour in numerous countries. Her foray into the world of Piazzolla continued with Julia de Buenos Aires, a CD where she recorded pieces by the creative duo of Piazzolla & Ferrer and others written by the bandoneonist jointly with poets like Jorge Luis Borges and Mario Trejo. Today, she will honor him by performing songs such as “Los pájaros perdidos,” “Siempre se vuelve a Buenos Aires” and “Balada para un loco” with an ensemble conducted by pianist Matías López Gallese.
