Biography / Synopsis
Pollo Mactas y La Vargas's biography

Accompanied by Jorge Cordone (guitar and musical direction) and Carlos Cordone (guitar and guitarrón), singer, guitarist and composer Pollo Mactas will mainly perform tangos, milongas and waltzes made popular by the “Buenos Aires streets’ nightingale,” Ángel Vargas – an exquisite repertoire with references to low-roofed houses, neighborhoods and corners. A Paris Tango Scholar and a radio host, Mactas has been into tango for many years now and has put up several shows, in some of which he spotlighted the humorous side of the genre. The Cordone brothers accompanied guitarist Roberto Grela and were part of the band that backed singer Edmundo Rivero.
