Sexteto Mayor's biography

Together with the Quinteto de Astor Piazzolla, the Sexteto Tango and the Quinteto Real, the Sexteto Mayor is among the ensembles of soloists that emerged after the era of grand orchestras. Created in 1973 by bandoneonists José Libertella and Luis Stazo, it is one of the greatest instrumental combos of all times. In 1983, it participated in Tango Argentino and has toured internationally to over 700 cities. In this opportunity, gracing the Salon Tango Final of the Dance World Cup and accompanied by Gloria and Eduardo on their tribute night, the Sexteto Mayor will feature Mario Abramovich (violin), Luciano Sciarretta (bandoneon), Enrique Guerra (double bass), Horacio Romo (bandoneon), Eduardo Walczak (violin) and Fulvio Giraudo (piano).
